Tell me what a pre-wedding session is and is it included?
We provide a pre-wedding session as complimentary to all wedding photography packages booked. This portrait photography session is arranged soon after you book your wedding photography with us. You will be given an appointment to come to the studio to have some fantastic photographs taken. At this session you will get to know us better and us you! You will also be able to experience our relaxed style, and experience how much fun our photography is. Once a couple have had their sitting for the pre-wedding portraits, they love the pictures when they see them. They have enjoyed the sitting, and if they were previously nervous of being photographed, this nervousness fades away, and they start looking forwards enormously to the wedding photography. We will show the pictures as a audio-visual slide to music presentation, you will be able to choose pictures for printing and framing. A very popular option is a framed signature portrait for your guests to sign on the wedding day.
Will it be just our wedding photography that you photograph on the day?
Yes. We realise we have a great responsibility in capturing the memories of your special day. We will dedicate ourselves exclusively to your wedding photography so that we can give you both the best attention possible.
Is there a limit to how many wedding photography pictures will you take?
The number does depend on the wedding but we take around 700-1100 pictures at most weddings.
How do you show us the wedding photography pictures?
Prior to your wedding we will make an appointment with you to view your wedding photography pictures on your return from honeymoon. This is presented by means of a slide show to music, and recreates your wedding day in a most enjoyable way. You will be able to choose your wedding photographs for your album and discuss your requirements. Our slide presentation of your wedding photography will contain around 400-450 pictures to choose from.
If we book a package with say-130 pictures in the album,- can we buy more if we want to?
There is no limit to the number of photographs you can have in the wedding album, you will have already booked to include a certain number in your package. Our wedding albums will accomodate up to 350 photos, if you need any more than this we can provide a second album, all you pay is the cost of the extra pictures. Additional photographs for the album can be ordered at your viewing appointment. Most couples select between 180-250 pictures for their album with the average order being around the number of 250 in an album. The albums are designed to tell the story of your wedding day, and at least 130 pictures will be needed if you want this to be complete.
How many hours will you be at our wedding on the day?
All weddings are different and this varies from wedding to wedding, depending on the wedding photography service you booked with us, and the arrangements for the day's events. Some weddings start early in the day and others much later depending on the time of the year. Photographic coverage is provided usually starting with the groom and going on to the bride's home and continues throughout the day.We also have the evening covered as well in many packages, and dancing and any other events such as fireworks, and photographs of some of their evening guests.
It must a be a long day for you, what about the need to eat and drink?
We do need to use a lot of energy doing wedding photography and will need feeding and watering occasionally. We do request that you make arrangements with your venue to provide us with drinks especially if it is hot and a meal during our stay with you.
What about quality?
Quality is very important to us, not only because of professional pride, but because we want our clients to be very happy with the results. A bonus of this is that happy clients reccomned us! We use materials that are carefully sourced and are of the highest quality. Photographs are individually assessed, manipulated and optimised before going on to be printed. The standard and quality of the printing is very high, and the albums look superb. All of our systems and quality control checks are there to make sure you get the album of your dreams.
Will it take long for the order to be ready?
We provide albums of the highest quality, which are individually designed and unique for each client. Once ordered, the exciting stage of design commences, once we are happy with the design, the wedding album will be ordered. Albums are designed in house using designs that gives our albums that extra special edge. The completed wedding album will be ready approximately four to six weeks after the design is dispatched to the album supplier, depending on wedding album company, with our quickest supplier often delivering within four weeks of the design being completed and sent off to the album company. At holiday times delivery times may be extended.
What pictures will you take?
We will be taking wedding photographs throughout the day whilst with you of events as they unfold. We will also take the groups photographs you would like and any other shots you request us to do if circumstances and time permits.
Will our friends and guests be to see the pictures and order prints online?
Once you have selected your prints for your wedding album, a selection of pictures are uploaded to our client pages on the website. We will give you an address on the web where you can find your pictures, then you let your friends and family know the addres and they can then order prints as they require online. For those who do not have internet access or wish to order via an alternative method, a printout of all the pictures chosen for the album is supplied, this is meant to be used in conjunction with the album to identify the pictures in the album for ordering.
Will we have time with our guests, can you tell us how long the photography will take?
We will be taking pictures throughout the day as the events happen. There will be a session that last around 30 minutes during which time we will take the group shots. This is generally enough time to complete the groups for most weddings. Once the groups are completed we will photograph the couple, this takes around 15-20 minutes, and we like to find somewhere away from the guests to take these shots, so there are no distractions. Often the couple wish to have pictures taken at another location in addition to this. We can also take special photographs of the couple the day after the wedding.
Will this leave us with time to chat to our guests?
Yes, it's totally up to you how you arrange your day, we work around your arrangements. We can arrange to photograph the groups when you would like us to.We will take those shots that you have requested. Many couples like to have 10 minutes or so after the ceremony to chat to their guests before moving on to the group shots, and often have their day arranged in this way. Most venues allow at least one and a half hours for you to greet your guests. Please note however that we do need daylight if you would like your groups taken outside and adjust your desired time for these accordingly.
How do we get our album?
Once your wedding album is ready we will notify you. If you would like to collect your wedding album, we will arrange a suitable time to do this, alternatively we can send your wedding album by courier, this is charged at cost.
Can we order prints in frames?
Yes of course! we offer a large selection of frames. Often a couple will order several pictures to be mounted into one frame. This provides stunning results, and can tell the story of your wedding day in a fantastic way in the room of your choice. Please ask us about our frames. It is also possible to have a framed print of a montage of your couple shots, similar to those in the albums for mounting on your wall. We also provide superb canvas prints and these really look stunning on your walls.
Can we order parent albums?
Yes, parent albums are available. The price of these starts at €349 for smaller copies of the main album or alternatively parents can order a different product. Please ask us for a quote for your requirements.
When we book you, will it be you who does our wedding photography?
We do not do consultations for other photographers, therefore if you book one of us, it will be one of us that photographs your big day. We feel that this is very important as it enables us to get to know our clients and we are therefore not strangers to them on the wedding day, enabling them to have confidence and to relax.
How can we pay you?
Payment can be made by cash or cheque.
What do we need to do to book our wedding photography with you?
A booking fee of €250 is needed to secure the booking. This can be done by post or at your studio visit. You will need to complete a few details on the booking form,read the terms and conditions,and send with a cheque for the booking fee, or pop in cash for this at the studio. If you are not sure when booking us which package you would like, do not worry, the important thing is to secure the booking, you can then decide afterwards which package you would like. We ask you to let us know within a month of booking which package you would like. The booking fee is credited towards the cost of the package you order. A further deposit of 75% of the balance is due one month before the wedding, and the other 25% after the wedding at your viewing.
